“I love the indescribable magic that comes from painting, particularly the unpredictability of watercolor. I find inspiration in unique perspectives, the interaction of light and color, interesting people and the beauty of nature.”

Beth primarily paints in watercolor, and her work ranges from contemporary representational work to abstract landscapes and figures. Beth has exhibited her work in Corning, NY at the Houghton Gallery at 171 Cedar Arts, The Evelyn Peacock Peeler Gallery at the ARTs Council of the Southern Finger Lakes, at the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, and in the Palettes of Hammondsport exhibition. She has also exhibited in various public venues in upstate New York with the Elmira Regional Arts Society. Beth is represented by the Glass Menagerie Gallery in Corning, NY.

Born in South Bend, IN, Beth was raised in Alexandria, VA. She attributes her creative gifts to her paternal grandmother and aunt, who were both artists, and to her mother, who was passionate about fashion, funky jewelry and interior design. At a young age, Beth took drawing and painting lessons, and then turned her creative efforts to fashion design and theatre production in high school. She started college pursuing a fine arts degree at the University of Mary Washington, changed her major to Economics, and then went on to get her MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. After a full career in the business world, which included expatriate assignments in Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai, she returned to her creative side. Beth was Executive Director of 171 Cedar Arts Center in Corning, NY from 2018 - early 2023.

Beth studied painting under artists Bridget Bossart van Otterloo, Wilson Ong, Kenneth Cobb, and Bill Vrscek. Beth lives in Corning, NY, with her husband, Mark.
